I feel like this version is being a little unfairly judged. I know the name changes are a little odd (they dont even resemble the original ones) but I got used to it fairly quickly. The English voices aren't half bad either. They got actual professionals from what I've seen. Of course, I wouldn't blame you for switching to the Japanese. There are a few errors in the translations here and there but overall I understood everything perfectly fine. I've been waiting for an English version for a long time and I was not disappointed. Not to mention the beautiful art! I really urge you to try it out. :)
as someone who hasn't played the Chinese version I'm going to give my opinion on what it's like for the English version. there's an option to switch to the Japanese dub which is good because I wouldn't bother with the game otherwise. The 4 Japanese voice actors are fantastic as always (I could do a 40 page review on how great each of them are but no one wants that) which is why it's the only thing that I've given 5 stars.
the story is one of the two major issues I have with the game. it's a typical storyline for otome games that I don't find appealing. I will say however that the main heroine isn't as much of an idiot as a lot of these other otome games. she can tell someone off if they are being rude. the story can be a bit cheesy at times and there are a few grammatical errors but that's expected with these translations.
my other big issue is the gacha. 1800 gems for a guaranteed Sr but the problem is that getting to 1800 is difficult.
This game is so damn good (☆^O^☆) I always wait for this game to add English version! and now available! How great! I like this game because it's seems like Love Nikki. cuz they're have same develop!(*^﹏^*)

The game comes in Japanese and English dubs, so pick your poison. The gameplay itself is a bit confusing and can't change names easily once you've set it, unless you wanna use real money, then by all means. Overall enjoying it so far. Haven't played the Chinese server so can't vouch how "bad" the translations are, as others have claimed, but reading the story, grammar is pretty good. If anything, I'd like a volume to lower the bg music. Haven't purchased anything (yet) but we shall see.

Been on Chinese server since day one. Played this out of curiosity. What's with the English names? Japanese dubbed doesn't pronounce as Lucien, Victor, Gavin, Kiro. Some of the translation are terrible, they twisted the meaning of the original script, some words are mispelt too.
I will admit I got the game to take the p*ss of it but was pleasantly surprised. (´◔ ₃ ◔`) The idea is rather clever, it takes an idea normally used in thriller and such and turns it into a romance game. I did have trouble staying with the story after Chapter 6 and gave up paying attention somewhere around 8ish. Not the best for those who are easily distracted.
Another thing is that the 'Right Beside You' is WAY to expensive. This is coming from someone who Buys and Translates Otome CDs as a part time job/hobby. You can get 1 hours worth for ¥2,000 (Less than £20 and $20 roughly) but here it's nearly a $/£ per minute.
This is all my opinion. The game does have many redeeming qualities. People should find out for themselves if they like it or not. It's what I'm doing.
P.S. Lucien doesn't deserve the hate, lol.
Edit: Came back to this game much later. Boy, STAY UNTIL CHAPTER 10 BEFORE MAKING A JUDGEMENT! It's brilliant, the story hooked me. The story is incredibly well written. And I can't wait for the later chaps.

As a player of the Chinese version, the English version just doesn't do it any justice. Everything else is still okay
This best Otome game i play it in my life. I'm playing Chinese version and it's Addiction . I was wich this game will out in English version soon and I didn't now this soon I'm really happy .
Unpopular opinion: I like English dub! The game is pretty addicting, though getting SR-SSR cards is really difficult. Btw, you can change your name once you finish 2nd chapter with 30 crowns.
Well, I'll just be honest with this gacha game, recommend for some people who'll paid the gems or if you have EX+ Luck. Not quite recommend for people who tend to play for free for gacha unless your main purpose to play is read the story. I'm an active player (lv. 65) and free to play too and so far I have 4 SSRs (all aren't limited), but I consider myself quite lucky since I've seen other's are quite bad to the moment they saved up all their wish coupons to roll the gacha event. Anyone can relate with me here?

After playing around 250 days, it still places as the most favorite game that I have ever played. The characters do fit common sense, a little niches but sometimes they would have an aura of real "human". In my viewpoint, the story and its characters makes this game distinguishable with other otome games.
I have to admit that I fall in love with Gavin and this game (((ﾟДﾟ;)))
