It's one of the oldest running idol games and therefore lacks some of the flashy, colorful features that other rhythm games have these days, but it's definitely a classic that everyone should try out!
The graphics aren't anything out of the ordinary. The artstyle has been pretty consistent in recent years, but occasionally you'll get one of the older, wonky looking cards.
The gacha feature sounds horrible at first glance (only 1% for a UR) but the rates are raised every month in specific boxes, and they tend to give out SR, SSR and even UR tickets twice a year (either through lotteries or campaigns).
The music does have some variations of the usual genre, you'll hear J-Pop mostly, but the subunits also use influences from other genres like EDM, K-Pop, or western pop.
The story...eh, it's kinda just there for me? The anime is definitely worth watching if you want to get to know the characters better. Some in-game stories focus more on the members that didn't get too much attention in the anime though, which is great.
Overall, I think it's an absolutely lovely game that paved the way for many other popular idol/rhythm/gacha based games. It's a project that's brought me a lot of joy♥️

Gacha rate really isn't my friend so most of my URs are birthdays or free in events Attend events as often as you can because they're really helpful with cards or stuff, especially with collaborations. Complete all live missions cuz thats how Love Gems are born (u can milk out master mode if you can survive till the end lolol) and story as well. It is depressing to get R or SR cards in x10 pulls
but they can be useful in missions that require a certain amount of idolized cards. Also praise the Almighty Ohara Mari

♡ juego desde hace como 6 años ya, aunque este año por problemitas internos tuve que comenzar de 0. :( pero dejando eso de lado, tanto la historia (el anime) como las cartas, los personajes, las canciones y el gameplay son 10/10.
♡conseguir gemas no es tan difícil como parece con mucha mucha dedicación, pero en mi caso, siento que vale muchísimo la pena las horas de juego para conseguir URs de yohane. ♡
♡la música también es geniaaaal, todavía me acuerdo cuando recién comenzaba a jugar, cómo me iba aprendiendo las canciones, realmente son hermosos recuerdos. :( ♡ y el ir mejorando la habilidad también es divertido y me parecen muy justas las dificultades.
♡lo recomiendo muchísimo, no se van a arrepentir, vale la pena. ;u;♡
si quieren hablar de love live me avisan, es mi saga de idols favorita sin duda alguna.

why didn't they change the UI even a bit. I'm not complaining the layout design, that's it's originality. but the icons, buttons, etc. looks... outdated to me.
not gonna compare with other rhythm games I've played cz I'll definitely biased. their songs are great in their own class. even I still listen to it when I feel like it.
now as far as I could tell, it's gameplay is my favorite among all rhythm games I've played. with it's master difficulties having slide note, and there was an arcade challenge. perfect.
honestly, the main story is fine. but the event story kinda, to put it blantly, boring. perhaps they know that most of the players only cares about the cards but not the story itself.
for now, I'll play only for that Persona collabs. in the meantime, I may or may not get addicted again with this idol hell...
