It has came to me that Grimlight has been delisted from Google Playstore, very late I know I know. I am a big fan of this game, Even though I dont currently have it installed, But I remember very vividly the time I was playing this game for hours on end.
After EOS now this... Im sad hearing the news but so happy that its still available at QooApp, because theres no way Im downloading from random third party sites on the internet (most of them are incredibly sketchy and riddled with virus). Thankfully QooApp is a very trusty app that I've been using for years, with library of games with wide range of availability. Region locked games ? ✓ QooApp got you, Delisted games ?? ✓ Dont worry QooApp got you :))

It’s been a long time, huh?
I used to be so excited to play this game because of Alice… lol, it really takes me back. When the game hit EoS and got turned into an offline version (yep, EoS in April 2024, and the game was only around for 2 years), I honestly wasn’t surprised at all. Not because it was bad or good, but because the future already looked kinda shaky for them. PvP balance was inconsistent, there weren’t many P2W players, and of course, the hype/popularity just wasn’t there.
One good thing though: the devs were genuinely some of the nicest you've ever interacted with, so bugs usually got fixed pretty fast. I still remember when the game first launched and people rushed to the Play Store to give it super low ratings because of all the bugs (force close, black screen, couldn’t enter the server, etc.) and the devs genuinely fixed it.
If you ask me whether the game is good or not… well, it depends on how you look at it. This is just how I remember it back when I played, so feel free to add or correct anything in case the mechanics changed later on.
→Art? 10/10. Wanke never disappoints. There are other artists too like KINTY, Illume, Sul, etc., but Wanke was definitely the most popular.
Character designs? All characters in this game are based on cultural folklore (like Tamamo no Mae or Princess Kaguya) and fantasy stories (Cinderella, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, etc). My only issue is that some of the girls’ designs feel a bit.. repetitive? Don’t get me wrong, every unit is unique and it’s not just the same gothic frilly outfit reused over and over like most Gacha games tend to. It’s more like whenever a Western-based character drops, it’s either a frilly dress or a silk dress. I’m not talking about cultural accuracy here- Most of these stories are fantasy anyway but a bit more variation clothing wouldn’t hurt, you know?
→Gameplay is kinda meh. Not the best, not the worst—just nothing special. Mostly chibi walking around and tapping skills once the mana fills. There is an auto button, but people kinda hated it since it kept picking your weaker units
→PvP is obviously gone now since it’s an offline version, but back then? F2P aka low spenders were fighting for their lives against whales with 100% crit rate and fully maxed units… ah, good times 🫠
→Stamina system is painful. Hard to get and kinda pricey. Sure, if you save them you can stack a lot, but the real issue is how limited your playtime becomes. Farming also needs keys, which makes the whole hard-to-get stamina+stamina-hungry farming combo feel pretty questionable.
→Character/Unit development is… okay, at least. Nothing amazing, nothing terrible. But my biggest issue is that WE CAN’T RESET CHARACTERS.
Like, come on. Stamina is already hard to get, farming needs stamina too, and we still can’t reset characters? Even in the offline version there’s still no reset button.
→Story is also kinda meh. You get isekai’d, become the ‘dreamer’ of this fantasy world, and you’re supposed to save Phantasia alongside Aurora, a god-like girl who claims to know you. The ending wasn’t anything special either. *⚠SPOILERS BELOW⚠*
Turns out Aurora was hallucinating the whole thing. There’s no dreamer aka us, and most importantly.. no Phantasia. it’s all something she created while in a coma at the hospital. I really wish we got a better ending, but considering the final chapter was made just to announce the EoS, it makes sense why it felt rushed, off, and incomplete.
→And lastly.... Gacha. What’s a gacha game without gacha, right? The gacha system is… love and hatebfor me. After the offline version, it’s actually way more stable and understandable. No new limited banners or anything, which makes sense. Why would an offline EoS game still have limited time gacha? But back when it wasn’t EoS… OH BOY. Tons of duplicates. Getting any 5★ was insanely hard, and you’d still feel super grateful just for one because of how brutal it was. Yeah, there was a pity system but sometimes it really felt like it was just fooling with us lolol, sometimes first pull, most of the time… nope. Leer nota

Grimlight es un juego que disfrute mucho el tiempo que lo jugue. Hace tiempo que no lo juego, y solamente hace unos dias volvi a instalarlo.
Iba a iniciar sesion con mi cuenta de Google, puse mi cuenta y me pregunto que servidor elegir, planeaba elegir el servidor Global, pero lo apreto y no se me inicia el juego, se queda pegado en la pantalla de inicio. No se queda pegado en si, pero los personajes y el fondo sigue en movimiento, es solo que no pasa nada.
No se me inicia sesion y no me deja iniciar para jugar. (╥﹏╥)

Iba a iniciar sesion con mi cuenta de Google, puse mi cuenta y me pregunto que servidor elegir, planeaba elegir el servidor Global, pero lo apreto y no se me inicia el juego, se queda pegado en la pantalla de inicio. No se queda pegado en si, pero los personajes y el fondo sigue en movimiento, es solo que no pasa nada.
