But with the app, it's really easy to open it up and just start looking through all of the art! So even if I'm out of the house or waiting in line, I can still discover new artists or find art of my favorite series! (While I was typing this comment, I found Yakuza art of Kiryu and Majima wearing blocky suits like that Kanye West meme hahaha!)
The other cool thing I learned is that you can also read artists' manga and novels on the app too! They have categories for them, so you can read them in a matter of seconds! Using the app actually taught me more about Pixiv hahaha!
(Also I know this doesn't have sound or gameplay or story. But the app has tons of content like manga, I'll have to give it a good rating for that!)

Also, although there is a chat system on the PC version it is not available in the mobile app but live ilustration making is avaible in mobile app. Lastly, if you're not into NSFW stuff there's a setting to turn it off.

Many artists that I love are from Pixiv, most if not all of them do not have any mainstream social media or just not use it.
Pixiv helps me find them, maybe I can follow them on Twitter and see their art there. Or maybe they sell stuff like t-shirts or their own manga, I can find the website and if affordable, buy and support my favourite artists~!
And one of the things I love about Pixiv is that it has beautiful art quality. I can download majestic art in great quality, and, I always enjoy a good quality art piece from my favourite artists.
The only thing I could warn you about is the NSFW content there. I don't have a problem with that, but I'm just saying for the people who may not like that kind of stuff.
Edit: Shit, I wrote this yesterday at 3am and I was half asleep. Anyway take a shot every time I say art or Pixiv.

The show the art in HD and doesn't have any annoying things bothering your experience.
It also has novels and mangas created by other artists to read as well !
It's good for posting your art on there as well!
Overall it's a very good app.

With some small inconvenience: if you want to find easily the best art that is a premium only feature, but i got what i really like in the home screen as "recommended" and i found every artist what i like so this is not a big problem. also i using a screen translator app for Japanese content.

This is the same app, the same place for thousands of artist, including game character designers and light novel illustrators to show off their works. A lot of game/novel artworks have "created by the original author" tags. The premium content is quite cheap also, so why not.
Even without the premium access, you can still browse artworks freely. And almost all the artworks are downloadable, except some that is only available for premium users.
