I have changed my review to reflect my thoughts after playing the official launch, considering my original review was based on the beta. This will be lengthy, so I'll save you the hassle of reading. The game has some really sketchy things in it that give me pause, but I think it is worth sticking to it if you like it. If you didn't enjoy Azur Lane, you will not enjoy Echoes of Pandora. The gameplay is strikingly similar with a few gimmicks added on top.
First, let's talk about the bad. [發怒]
In the beta, you could infinitely roll the tutorial gacha and pull multiple SSR and SR. It was a free infinite 10x pull. I, myself, even rolled up to three SSR on it. In the official launch, however, you are limited to only being able to roll one SSR from a list of 5, but can still roll multiple SR. The most SR I saw in one of my rolls was five. Personally, I think this it's a tad scummy to change something that had the ability to give people a chance to have a specific unit they want or need to roll to play the game their way.
There are free and paid gems. The free gems can be used for a character gacha, and the rates are fine, but free gems take a very long time to get. I can't accurately say how long it takes to collect enough to roll, but you need 1500 to 10x pull, and I currently have 900 at chapter 2. Thats primarily due to one-time only missions. On top of this, there is a second gacha which requires cubes, which are easy to get, but the rates are utterly unacceptable.
SSR 0.35%
SR 2.25%
R 38.43%
N 58.97%
This is separate from the first gacha which has good rates and doesn't have N in the pool, but you will end up rolling it a lot because of how often they give you cubes.
There is a VIP system. It's trash. I don't think I need to tell anyone who's seen a VIP system before why it's trash, as it only appeals to whales, and not small spenders. It takes a lot of money to reach high VIP, which is the trap of the system.
The game also suffers from game-breaking bugs on launch, which is nothing new for live service game players. It usually doesn't speak much for the entertainment value of the game. So far, they've fixed bugs within the same day they occur.
Now, the good. [怪笑]
I'll be honest and say that the bad outweighs the good if you are looking at the game without any bias or emotion. It's quite clear that the main audience is not happy, as they mass 1-star review-bombed the game on Google Play.
It's the same game I played in the beta, minus the aforementioned issues I and many others have with it. It's still fun, the controls are responsive, and the graphics are great.
The voice acting is supreme, even though they didn't use it for any of the dialogue scenes, but if you can't understand it, I don't really understand why you would complain about it.
Taking everything into account, this is a pretty fucked launch for the game and it's going to hurt them monetarily, because it seems like they are appealing to whales, which just isn't a sustainable business model and always results in games closing within a year or two. I have hopes for this game, but if it gets any worse than this, I fear for its longevity.

Game is fun, kinda feel like Irosn Saga except you have the control. It remind me of NES game i played in the past. Gacha is super friendly, you get to reroll as much as you want for your first ten.
