Disgaea Makai Wars pode muito bem ser visto como um jogo de xadrez, com abilidades, ao entrar no jogo vc pode se sentir meio deslocado e confuso sobre o que fazer inicial, porém uma das coisas muito boas é ele ser super intuitivo, se você jogar o explorando em 15 minutos ou menos vc ja terá ideia e uma noção básica sobre o jogo, a única coisa que te distância com que faz você perde boa parte da história e que sua linguagem estar em japonês, porém sua jogabilidade é bem intuitiva e facil de se entender não precisando saber nada do japonês, com a tempo voce aprende todas as mecânicas do jogo.
