TL;DR:
Only play it when you have the screen brightness at high since some of the objects are too dark on low setting. And yes, you must know Japanese.
Difficulty according to progress:
This is not a game where the difficulty setting has anything to do with progression, hence no variation (except maybe your ability in comprehensing Japanese, hopefully it's improving).
Time consumption:
Single-player Online/Offline Game Tier.
You can pick it up anytime for as long as you can.
Pros:
1. Literally Japanese TV shows on ghost sightings reworked into a game.
Cons:
1. It's not scary...
2. Some of the objects are so blurry and small...they should really add a magnify function
3. Way too many ads without solid in-game content...
