Starward-Mecha Girls

Spades Hiroki (SpadesHiro)

3.2

The closest you can get to Gundam Extreme Versus (EXVS) at home, especially now that you can experience the game not only through PC but also mobile.

It doesn't come without its fair share of issues though, the mobile version has a pretty terrible control scheme considering the game mimicks EXVS down to its movesets, meaning you will be met with bunch of buttons on bottom right that you have to juggle through, from dodging to executing combos. This eventually makes playing the game rather frustrating, but on the bright side it supports gamepad which is by far the best way of playing Starward in either PC or mobile.

The other issue is that mobile and PC progress from what I remember is separate, so if you have a good amount of progress on PC with all the gacha luck you have, well gg, you will have to start over on mobile version. I can't confirm much because I only tested the mobile version for a short while to see how it fares againsts Steam version.

Overall, though? If you're looking for a solid 2v2 PvP action that plays exactly like EXVS, this is the game. The balancing is quite well done if I have to be honest, even the old 1.0 units are still relevant to this day. I'd suggest playing the PC version instead or at least buy a proper bluetooth gamepad to play on mobile.
