Gotta make a review because of Suomi-chan (≧∇≦)

Short version: Strategy (Xcom) game with a quite capable auto mode and solid story along with lovable cast of characters. Playing GF I isn't a must, as I myself haven't played it and am not confused with the story. However the story itself can be the downside, as sometimes there'll be too much text. The story starts slow, so this may deter some players to continue. It gets better in around chapter 2 end. BUT, the event story is quite good.

Quick tip. In the campaign screen, on the lower left there's a B.R.I.E.F assessment button. Once it's open, try to complete it. Please read the instructions on each stage carefully. This will come in handy during challenging stages in the mid-end campaign and in the event challenges.

Pros:
+++ Suomi-chaan. She's such an incredible character. One moment she's kind and sweet, next moment when she meets certain individuals, all hell breaks loose. Case in point, the Momoi meme. I like her. Suomi won't replace Asta-chan as my number one, but she's veeery close to do just that...ehem, anyway

+ Strategy game with quite capable auto mode. No need to be afraid if you don't like strategy games. Each stage won't really take a long time like how traditional strategy games are.

+ Lots of freebies for both limited banners and standard banners, allowing you to pull a lot on both banners

+ Incredible sfx and music, put on earphone for maximum enjoyment

+ Simple leveling up and armament. No need to roll for relics, gears or such. As each characters, when upgraded, will have access to multiple "keys" that can be utilized to adjust their playstyle. The only "rng" are located in weapon attachments

+ Super fast first time (login) loading...but, there's a catch (look in the cons)

+ Highly customizable lobby. You can set many stuff there. Like, display the "bridge", display character summon animation, display dorm, or display characters in battle preparation

Neutral:
= There's PVP and you can manually control your team....but how is that fair, right? The opponent is full auto. Thus, I use auto for PVP.

= Reasonable priced skin, especially if the first purchase bonus for the currency is active...I say this
because I bought Suomi's outfit

= Decent Gacha rate, there's a soft pity and hard pity.
Didn't really pay attention though. As I just kept unloading the gems I got to keep pulling for Suomi. She's at limit break 2 right now. Gonna keep going~

= Understanding each character skills is very much required. Otherwise, you'll spend too much time reading each of the skills. They're explained well yes, but it'll take time to get used to a character's kit. So, try to create one main team and understand how that team works (understand each character's kits). Yes Auto mode can carry you, but how great the auto is depends on the team itself.

= Character level is dependant on account level...yeah, one of those game. If our account level is 10, then characters level can only go up to 10. Leveling up is quite fast. But, once the current campaign is completed, then it'll get slow. Around 33ish I think

Cons:

- At the moment, there's only 2 snipers and 2 melee. Sad as I like Snipers...

- Limited character interactions in the dorm, thus in the lobby as well. I expect at least more than one voice line can be played randomly when the character is tapped (like Honkai Impact and Counterside). Unfortunately, that is not the case.

- Leveling up character bonds is quite expensive and you won't get a lot of the items....so yeah, probably can only focus on one character (in my case, Suomi-chan)

- Odd dispatch mode. In order to use characters for dispatch, they must fulfill certain requirements first. It's not too tedious and it does fit the lore...but, it's odd. I think this is the first Gacha game I encountered where we can't immediately deploy characters for dispatch...

- Although the initial loading is very fast, there's this interval between switching screens. Like when you open the campaign menu from the lobby, there's a fade in fade out animation. Switch from character weapon to character neural (another upgrade screen), there's a fade in fade out. It's , for a lack of better word, not snappy. Can be annoying to some

- Current story ends in a not so good conclusion. Feels like it should've ended with a climax or cliffhanger (you'll understand when you get to it)

- Story sometimes contains lots of texts. You'll need time to read them all. This game relies on the story and characters. So while there is a skip button, if you press it, chances are this game isn't for you.

-?- This isn't really a con, rather a reminder. Although the Auto mode is incredible and can get you through most contents, there will be some stages that requires manual. Such as boss battles or missions with specific requirements (such as the battle with Vepley). Careful with this as you might waste a lot of time simply because the Auto doesn't know what to do.

Well, that's all. Again, this game will either grab you with their story and characters, or not. As someone who likes Valkyria Chronicles and Xcom, I can somewhat recommend this. But, the strategy aspect isn't in depth yet. Not like, say Summon Knight series or 7th Dragon series. I'm level 34 as of the writing of this review. Perhaps the current challenge is the PVP and the Event Battle (we're given a set of team to be used, but we can also use our own team). Anyway, give it a try for around 30 minutes, then you'll know if this game is for you or not. Hope this helps~

ᯓᡣ𐭩 GRAPHICS : 5/5 i cannot express how gorgeous these graphics are! the saders are so realistic and the characters are gorgeous!! like, i literally have nothing bad to say about these graphics that is how good they are. also, amazing booba. ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ SOUND : 3/5 i'm not really one to pay attention to a game's soundtrack but gfl2 has a pretty good one. the voice acting isn't in english (jp , cn and kr options) but from what i can tell it's pretty good too. 𖤐ˊ˗ GAMEPLAY : 5/5 amazing, just like everything else in this game! it's turn based strategy combat on a grid-like map, you can select uo to six folls to fight with how have various weapons and playstyles. there's an auto combat feature but i usally find myself doing it manually because i loved these strategy games. there's a dorm feature where you can look at your favorite dolls in various situations and take photos or them from any angles to add to your lobby screen. ˖ ࣪⊹ STORYLINE : 5/5 i LOVE the story!! let me tell you, if like me you've gotten a little tired to all the squeaky clean light-hearted stories of many other gacha games, you'll love gfl2! the story is so dark and depressing wnd BDHDSIJDHD I LOVE IT!! ꔛ‬ᡣ𐭩˒˒ VALUE : 4/5 overall, amazing game with a lot of value! weither you want i well made game with stragetic combat or just a game with great waifus, gfl2 has you coveres!

Game has so much content from pve to pvp and mechanic [開心] so far, so good. I hope you all have a good pull [哇噻] !! The game it self its like ur typical waifu gacha with meta list, but don't worry, the game mostly needs a strategy to play and team synergy ofc with meta team u can just auto the game but trust me its only on early soon or later u gonna hit a wall ur auto meta team gonna fall off it might be even worse u switch to manual and still can't continue (ended up u quitting the game). If you dont know how to utilize them from their skill , their passive synergy, element, stat, attachments, and so on. If you have a bad pull, it's okay. You can still progress, the game itself, relies more on team strat, skill synergy, char dupes, equipment, and so on. i start my game with peritya she is classified as C rank, currently my level its on 36 with all chap story cleared normal to hard while on the progress i manage to get some meta char as well but i only use the one tht have synergy with my current team. Do i need to manually play them the entire time ? no, some stage manual but mostly auto my starter team peri, velpe, groza, and nemesis. Also, my CN friend says, "Just enjoy the game." In the end, u will eventually get those meta char, and u ended up using one or two that suitable with ur team. P.S. typical of CN type of game need to play while think 🤔 so better think before doing some sort of things on the game ths one same as ash echoes have alot of mechanics and stuff you can just read all of tht on the guide book in the game if you too lazy to read all of that check out ytb for guide [開心]. My Platoon Ordnance on Darkwinter server is looking for active people if you are interested can slide into our DC server https://discord.gg/marshieemellow and open ticket at there for registration currently the platoon record top 2% on Gunsmoke.
