4.0A very nostalgic JRPG experience that will serenade you into the world of the Legend of Heroes within the trilogy that I personally adored during the PSP era. I only played the third installment of the games when I still had my PSP and I enjoyed it very much. This mobile game allows me to experience the other games in a compressed version, but still fitting for a mobile game. The graphics are not revolutionary, but it stays close to its original counterpart and the chibi models and art direction are very true to the games these are taken from. The battles are auto, but you get to customize your formation and activate your skills at your own pace which is satisfying in its own way. It isn't turn based like the original games, but it functions somewhat like a Star Ocean battle style which I love as well. The game appears to be free to play with lots of gems for the gacha in the beginning once you unlock the server ranking system where everyone gets gems for the top player's progression which is totally fine by me. The character art are beautiful and reminiscing of their og designs and even the music feel like I am having a walk on memory lane experience. Overall, game may not be for everyone, but if you enjoy old school JRPGs and just want to enjoy the adventures of to be heroes then go ahead and enjoy this portable version at your own pace. Give the game a shot and watch the story unfold before your very eyes!
