Graphics: A bit blurry but still okay for most part, the sprites and characters design are nice, its mostly copied over from the original game.
Sound: Music is still the same, the voice acting of the final boss... lets just say its not that great.
Gameplay: You can choose the difficulty, theres 7 difficulties, Easy, Medium, Hard, Maniacs, God, Red and Black. Only differences being the patterns and scores, however, the patterns are multiplied by the coumt of bullets rather than changing the pattern itself, Black difficulty don't let you use bomb, a questionable descision since bombing plays a big part in cave games. And there are no hyper in this game, basically it buffs your bullet damage, increase hit count for combo, which again doesn't exists in this port, cancels enemies's bullet but it makes enemies bullet faster, removing several staple mechanics from the series is a bad idea. Apparently, after normal you have to pay gems to play it, and you have to pay creds to play the latter stages. Theres a percentage on the left, the mechanics apparently rely on how much enemies you killed but it just seems to random and doesnt show accurately. The game only have 3 different stages (stage 1, 2 and 6 in the original game) and theres a mixed ones or a boss only version of the stages. You unlocks the true final boss by defeating the final boss without dying.
Story: Theres one in the original version but not in this port (if you call it that). Basically, elemental dolls are created to be a war machine, then one get another way of thinking and decided to take over the facility, and you have to go neutralize it, thats what i can tell from my memory. The game itself is kind of a retcon or alternate version that is much different from original (see ddp Daioujou).
Value: Can grind credits but cant grind gems, has to buy (which you can't since the servers are dead) and it is used to unlocks harder difficulties, buy some specific upgrades, new ships and pilots, which is bullcrap.
All in all, a mediocre game, but probably the worst one in the Dodonpachi series by the series's standard. This port doesn't do the justice for the original one. There are other dodonpachi games on phone but most of them are unplayable unless you find the archive, this one have but the other might not have it, searched on the web and there are nothing.
You can go play the original series on an emulator or consoles instead. If you want to play Cave STGs on android, i suggest Touhou Gensou Eclipse (thats a bit funny considering the rival of fanbases) or Gomaotsu.
