Arknights | English Review(s)
3.5
I've been seeing people hyping up this game for a good while until now, as such, I decided to try it myself.
I really, really wanted to like this game but it lacked something, and what I value the most in games no matter how shitty a game is, it's flashiness, the avant-garde feeling.

Long live Arknights.

Sound: It's just...there? And can be pretty annoying on some operators (I'm looking at you, Saga and Chongyue). Some of the music in this game is fire though. Some operators voice lines are too cute.
Gameplay: Gameplay is good, but it gets repetitive after a certain point, especially if you only use op braindead operators (some blue women and Surtr). I haven't touched any CC map so I won't comment on that. The only endgame content I enjoy is IS and events.
Storyline: It's decent, but it requires a lot of time and some dedication to go through. Sometimes I just don't care enough to read (too long, didn't read, blame Kal'tsit).
Value: The more you play, the more experience you get and more bold strategies you can pull off. You gotta think like a strategist to play this game. Optimization in this game feels pretty good. The gacha part is generous, I've been pretty successful with it. I was able to get the featured 6* in less than 30 pulls on most banners.
Some events have higher difficulty than others, like how Stultifera Navis is wayyy harder than Dorothy's Vision, etc. It's not a bad thing, I just hope some of the event have move forgiving stages. The new event POO is really brutal to get all medals so there's that.
The difficulty in this game can really spike if you don't know what you are doing. And on the other side, you can get away with a lot of stuff in this game when you have enough understanding.
I treat this game as a waifu collecting game so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Warfarin is cuter than I thought.

Difficulty: The core mechanics are simple enough. Don't skip the text on tutorial levels though, or you might miss key information that isn't explicitly stated anywhere else.
Characters: Characters have great art, and fulfill unique roles, allowing for a high variety and depth of strategy. They also have interesting backstories, personalities and a actually great sense of style.
Others: The music is god-tier. The story cutscenes usually overstay its welcome, but the overall plot and worldbuilding are phenomenal
