Utawarerumono Lost Flag Review(s)
2.4
gameplay mechanic are standard mobage semi turn base (all attack is automated while player only trigger the skill) and have nothing to do with original ip which is SRPG with visual novel element.
story wise, it is subpar compared to hakuoro arc and feels more watered down
lastly its gacha is similar to fgo with equip and character gacha sharing same pool with priority on equip. expect getting rainbow butterfly a lot just to be crushed when it turned into equip instead of unit.
even though I am fan of utawarerumono, i find lost flag not worth it

Graphics: We can say they tried to remind us about what the visual novel have, but remember that was years ago, me and my friends was shocked at it, it's just similar to PS 2 standard and not feeling like 2019 for sure.
Gameplay: It seem to be a mix of other gacha game, there is some formation from GFL or GBF, there is some skills and CE feature like FGO, and there is nothing... really stand out for me, pretty much.
Monetization: This is the worst from this game, at this time we have a lot of choices for game like this, and they decided to start the lauch with their card shown already: cash grab. I know we are talking about gacha game, but please, the first free 10x pull can't give you 3*, which is the rarest one, and then they give a guarantee on paid money. This give me straight up bad impression.

Might have missed the parameter but found no voiceover.
No opening either.
Graphics are pretty bad for a ''game'' out in late 2019.
The art is as good as usual though.

The biggest mystery to me, is why employ such brilliant art for the games sprites and backdrop locals, but then go and downscale all the in game character renders and combat animations, from even what the vita gfx engine produced in MoD/MoT... Just doesn't present much in the way of logic imo. =/

but, having playing this every day from its very first release day until now, i am hooked... i am a huge fans of utawarerumono myself, so i think that's one of the factors, and how i love their tile-based-strategy-rpg thingy(?) since its first game
