It just needs better optimization and the gacha rates.... need improvement. I like the event that lets you invest your gems and get back more in return (1.2x, 1.4x etc.). Overall I'll keep playing for the characters.
Update after playing for a while (2026): Not a fan of the ai art (obvious in backgrounds), hopefully they fix that. Gacha rates still no good, gameplay not that good (build characters, auto equip artifacts etc., auto fight battles) and not hands on (except the occasional rhythm game). One of the only redeeming parts is the storyline but even that makes my eye twitch (mc's lack of backbone). Really interesting universe though, worldbuilding has my big ups. I'll just be enjoying the characters outside of the game

Story:
Personally, I was enjoying the storyline 🤷. I see a lot of hate on it, but it was advertised as supernatural and cats, and that's exactly what we got. The storytelling style is unique blend between a comic and otome-style, but the MC doesn't have to romance anyone.
Gacha:
It's not too difficult to earn gems (you can earn ~2000 gems or more within a week, one gacha 10-pull). The drop rates are a bit low though (you might be able to expect one SSR every 50 pulls if you're lucky), and the pity gauge is super difficult to fill. But all gacha feature-banners rerun!
Caveats:
-> The SSR card art is super pretty BUT there are some characters that seem to get worse-quality (more AI) cards than others. A bit sad since the artists have magic hands.
-> The game is more casual - once you finish the newbie leveling, the game turns out very casual and there's not much to do aside from daily tasks and clan deploys. You can skip all battles for free (except player v player) so you don't use a lot of time on it either.
-> Server raids can be a bit unbalanced since it's based on the total server power so it can be difficult to manage through them as a lower power player. The community is very helpful though.

story is interesting and enjoyable for me, but combat gameplay is entirely controlled by AI, so winning and losing can depend on your luck at times if your team's power isn't that strong, and getting stuck on a battle means you can't progress in the story

story not that bad but interesting since the anamoly look very intense and scary some time.
solid 8/10 game
can rate more if the pity more mak sense than 500 pull for gurantee.

ADVICE: Level up your strongest card, first few rounds level up the free SR card they give you however when you get a SSR card shift your priority to the SSR card!!! LEVEL UP ONE CARD!!! A singular strong card is better than a bunch of mid leveled cards. Try your best to get the SSR card and Limited Warding card as this gives you a link bonus!

everything here is confusing including building up the card. too much item needed but we got few item resource, then that item resource is paywalled with gacha too...
then the bacground, this game is using AI for the background in the game except for the character.like, if you can pay people to draw and voicing your character in it, why not hire real people for the background art too!? also as i play this game for 3 to 4 mounth, there's this thing called nightmare raid where you can make group of three with other player to participate in a room to fight anomaly to get item resource.
the higher level the room the boss have higher power but also give you more and rarer item resource and more stars. the problem is as time goes, the dev increased the boss power level with unexplainable reason and it makes player difficult to cath up with, especially for f2p. the dev really want us to throw money for their game so we can level up faster

then the shop. it. has. a. lot. of. shop. banner. there's regular gem shop where you can buy gems, then there's this option where you can find more packs and vip's to buy. -_-
seriously. don't. sell. your. soul. to devil. i beg you.

Cards? Gamble! With a very high pity rate as well. There are also barely new players benefits that isn't "pay this amount to get a guaranteed pull and catch up!"
Equipments? GAMBLE! You thought cards % are awful? Well this baby can be even more awful than that! And to actually craft the shiny equipment, you need to get lucky for godknows how many rolls!
Anniversaries/Seasonal content "benefits" and "rewards"? PAY UP!! Yeah because the only ones celebrating are the devs, and we'll keep filling their pockets mindlessly because our oshis are drawn ever so prettily in their cards
genuine kudos to the artists, my faves are pretty.Gameplay?? NONE! You just raise cards and hold buttons!
Their single "endgame content" (and the only gameplay you'll get here), which is Game of Claws-- a "defend/attack towns with your guild" type of game, involves the cards that you have and its catered towards whales and only whales. No fun allowed for the filthy casuals. Whales get stronger and rise to the top, faster than anyone, and it's exhausting trying to compete with that. Sure, you can join their guild, but you're rendered useless against people who'd spend thousands on this game. You're literally just a bench warmer and fodder, both in offense and defense. I've watched 20mil-something singular player bulldozed a friendly, smaller guild's town and its infuriating.
The way they handle the imbalance is also by making a bunch of new servers so that some hopeful people think they can fight against others and have fun in the same playing field. And people with either too much money or inferiority complex would whale on this new server too lol.
Not to mention, the only way you can get rewards in GoC is if your guild has a town. Attackers that fail to get a town, or defenders that lose a town won't get any pity/effort rewards. In hindsight, this makes sense-- but in play, no. No, absolutely not. Do you know how much materials we need to raise ONE CARD? The "losers" get stuck with nothing, and have to either pay or wait a shitload amount of time to raise one card.
So far, the only changes the devs have made are related to the icons in the game, and the comment section per chapter that brings the lore enthusiasts together, but they have not (as far as I know) addressed the AI backgrounds stuff (and I dont have the eyes to decipher which is AI and which isnt, so I cant speak much on this).
Honestly, if you want a nice, updated-monthly story with stellar localization (genuinely, kudos to the team. The story is SO charming thanks to them
), have the patience to wait, maybe a wallet to burn a hole into? and have zero expectations in the "fun gameplay" department, then this game is for you. Find a nice guild and settle in, some people in the community are genuinely nice and caring. If it wasn't for them, I would've quit this game in a heartbeat. It's not even worth being a casual spender to. It's like a blackhole that sucks the life and money out of you because they know you love their characters.Mindbaffling that even though they've gained popularity, there's still barely any changes made. I can understand if this was a smaller game, but they've made headlines in the JP side. Shameless, im telling you.
I really wish they'd make equipments farmable instead in some ways, or allow new players get one SSR that they can focus into right off the bat to actually catch up. In one of the servers, I chose to be f2p and it took me like 5 months to finally get an SSR. I love the characters, so I wish they'd wake up and make some changes. Aaaaaaargh.
