Japan
Tunnel bear

The game has a roster of 19 main girls, plus a few extra characters with less content attached to them. Of the ones I've sat down and read the stories for, all of them have been surprisingly deep and endearing characters, with personal motivations and life goals of their own. I've never been big on visual novels or anything or the sort, but I keep looking forward to unlocking the next chapter of each character story.
The actual gacha element of the game is collecting cards of the characters in various outfits (that you can then set and use regardless of the specific card you hsve fielded) and making your team of 4 to go out and fight monsters. Buffs and debuffs are powerful, and specialized effects are plentiful, so it adds a nice layer of depth to the otherwise very simple combat.
The music was yet another unexpected treat, and I frequently dig headphones out of my pocket just for this game when I boot it up. I've caught myself humming the arena theme and lingered on the Ortana screen just to hear that piano melody.
Last but certainly not least, this game has so many side activities and sub menus that months after installing it, I'm still finding new, strange sub-features. An AR railshooter minigame on the beach, a camera for taking pictures of the characters in just about every modeled locale, an alarm clock more feature-rich than the one built-in to my own phone; the list goes on and on.
I've yet to spend a cent on this game, but have been enjoying it immensely regardless. There's more than enough flow of free draws to keep the F2P playerbase going, even once the main story premium currency dries up. Other than a scant few outfits, almost everything in the game is fully accessible to a free player.
If you can read Japanese, go ahead and give Alternative Girls 2 a shot. It's certainly earned it's place on my phone over the competition.
