The game itself is great, idoly pride is a wellbuilt idol management game. If you've tried nikke before some of the gameplay loop is similar (i.e. there are idle mechanics in place of spending stamina to clear your missions). i think it's pretty engaging as someone who's looked at like no guides ![[開心]](/cdn/img/transparent.png)
The translation is pretty meh though... A lot of lines were translated out of context and with no proofreading. You can generally get the meaning of the badly translated parts of the game but sometimes it's impossible. it's kinda sad the game released in this state because the actual content is very highquality. You can still enjoy it and I think the game gives you a very fair amount of currency/rewards/cards. Very easy to reroll also. shizuku my beloved
anyway ... based on reviews of the taiwan server just released by neowiz the translation is bad there too (machine translated levels of bad). i wonder why neowiz is being so irresponsible, are they known for this...? the english social media's also pretty low quality in this regard
at the same time originally boltrend was going to handle this and they vanished when release dates came (in my experience also their translations can have these issues too). so they were probably in management hell which is obviously terrible for a live service game. Guess we'll never know what happened ┐(‘～`;)┌
I've played jp before, the game is great and it's running well with good graphics and art, quite generous at early stage. my only complaint is that there's a lot of translation and typing errors in the game (perhaps it was made in a rush)
This is a really fun game and Shizuku is my new emotional support animated idol. The interface is nice and easy to use and everything is explained really well. As a wota, this really hits. The storylines are immersive and compelling, the characters are loveable and their designs are great, the voice acting is superb, and there's a lot of different gacha pools to choose from. Exchanging business cards in place of adding friends? 💯
Unfortunately, a lot of the dialogue and things are very poorly translated and kind of nonsensical, it'd be great if they could pay some actual translators to go fix it...because machine translation is just not...good... I also got a glitch that caused everyone to be named Sakura when I first started the app up, but exiting and reloading up fixed it.
Anyway, I've only been playing a couple days but I have already sunk so many hours in, definitely a new favorite.
ADDITIONAL: I've played more so here's some more critiques. There are some things about the game that don't work quite right (or at all). If I try to click on any of the notices on the opening screen the game just freezes and I have to restart it. The loading times in general tend to be pretty slow. I already mentioned it but the translation is bad- I know enough Japanese to understand what it probably said in the original game and how it made sense, but if they don't pay some real human translators I have a feeling people are not going to want to play. It's hard to get attached to characters when your interactions with them are nonsense lol. I also wish there was an option to craft accessories in bulk...
I'm still enjoying it, just wanted to add those critiques.

it's a good game! the anime was good too. if i was to fault it it would be that the english translation can be a bit messed at times. sometimes rather than the translation you'll get the japanese version when talking to the idols. sometimes the english text doesn't fit inside the text bubble too. apart from that, it's a functioning game that has pretty cards and good songs!

ok hear me out, this game is good and i played JP version too. even now I understand more about the mechanics of this game like team comp and i finally understand what my wives say to me XD. ok ok overall this version have a error with translation/FONT like too big and overlap with another or "Sakura" is everywhere idk maybe Dev is just love her too much or what, but not too bothersome for me. well, need fix tho so 8/10
Honestly a great combination of Amazing graphics, catchy songs.
Gameplay was a bit hard to grasp over time, but easy once understood.
LOVE the songs and MV's, the graphics in the game are honestly console grade. Its amazing how they made such a simple game have this level of fidelity and design .
Overall a great pick especially if you like communicating with the in game idols, amazing messaging system.

game is pretty mid when it comes to gameplay, also found some problems with the translation. another thing that might be a problem, though im not sure if its just my device, but some of the images for the gacha look "odd" like when you watch a youtube video and it automatically sets it to 480p, but again im not sure if thats just my device, now fidelity wise its great but i dont think that should cost the game to have almost no form of gameplay whatsoever, like this game has less gameplay than Azur lane on auto, atleast you can still press the airstrikes in auto there. now the music for the game is pretty banger, that might be because im just a simp for japanese music but thats besides the point. now would i reccomend this game? yes... and no. hear me out, if you wanted a ultra casual no stress game this would be it, but if you wanted to play a game with a little more "substance" i dont think this is it, but just for the music and the visuals im giving it an above average rating, it might be less a game and more leaning towards just anime girls dancing and singing, with a hint of lore thats all im seeing it as. so in summary if i had to rate this on a scale from 1 to 10 id give it a 6.5/10, but if this was a rating based on entertainment in general id give it a 7
A casual idol raising simulating game with high-quality 3D MV, and friendly gacha rate. The rarity's not the issue since you can raise the low rarity idol to higher rariry with dupe cards (kinda similar to Princess Connect)
3D models look cute and expressive (eg. after practice animation features idols sweating with their hair drenched with sweat), in the same league with Im@s Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage.
The outfits look beautiful with various designs, and you can freely set your favorite ones to home screen
One big plus thing imo is no stamina system, you can casually play the game at your own pace (I just log in to do daily missions, watch some MVs, staring at Nagisa in her cute bikini on home screen, and log out. Just chill)
The translation is not that bad but I wish they could do a better job. SMS and calls from idols would be a better experience if the translation sounded more natural and flowy instead of that machine-translation quality lol
In conclusion: Fun. Casual. 3D Bikini. More Mana please.

Been playing this game for a while and I say it's pretty good game. Card designs are divine and beautiful, lorewise is also exquisitely interesting. And the game is also fairly F2P friendly! Graphics are also really good but needs a strong device (mines sometime freezes and closes the game)

Also, since the preregistration 'til the last moments before its release, it was available to my device, my device meets the specifications, and on them SNS they never talked about possible compatibility changes, only about its progress.
Great and catchy music with sexy chreography. Beautiful art and 3D. Interesting story which follows suit the story of the anime which makes this canon. So far the original which is JP got collabs which happens every 7 mons. We got 2x Hatsune Miku, 1x Love Live, 1x K-ON!, and 1x Gochiusa making it 4 collabs to another title with 5 collab runs.
