This game is an easy 15/10 ONLY IF there's an Uma Musume that you resonate with (like/love/favorite). In my case, Tokai Teio. Seeing her bubbly yet determined character, doing her best to achieve her goal, being with her and guiding her as we aim towards Triple Crown while completing the goals step by step, it made me really happy and satisfied. That, even though I have to repeat the Career mode over and over, seeing her become better and better is plenty of motivation for me to keep playing. Heck I even watch the important races and screaming Go Teioooo in my heart as I watch the final stretch.
HOWEVER, if there's no Uma Musume that you resonate with, then this game is a 5/10. Although the production value is extremely high, this game is just a growth simulation game. Since the core gameplay is repeating the career over and over, choosing trainings and such, hoping for random encounters to boost stats, that if you don't resonate with your Uma Musume, it'll get boring really quickly, and eventually you'll uninstall the game. There's a lot of gacha games out there that's far more engaging yet won't take much time such as GFL2, Nikke and Counterside. Or even Heaven Burns Red and Blue Archive.
So, give it a try first and see if any of the Uma Musume resonates with you. Or just watch the anime and see if any of them clicks with you, then decide on wether to play this game or not.
...Btw this game makes me like horse racing....wth....the commentators are amazingly spot on, they really get you pumping

The main element here is gambling!! Which is not fair for anyone, imagine a evil event appear(Puncture Fail), or a failure in training can change your whole carrier if not being careful. This also goes to gacha rate but i think most of the time you'll get a SSR in 30-120 pulls although it can be something you don't want
One thing worth mentioning is to carefully calculate your expenses if ur a F2P as Support cards are very important, for starters I'd recommend to go for Sprint/Mile runners as Med/Long runners might be difficult due to lack of good Legacies, possibly you might want to be very active and finishes every single event as much as possible to get a better chance at gambling. (Or you can reroll by deleting your account and remake it again until you get what you wanted)
The stories are awesome (imo), each Umas has their own stories and goals to make up for the repetitive carrier training, talking about repetitive, unless your not a big fan of training Umas and watch them run i don't think the game's viable for you as if you actually take a look it's just "Do carrier, run Trial, do dailies, sleep, repeat (do events/legend race if there's one)
About PvP ( [Insert name] Cup ) which is where you'll bring your umas that had finished their carrier, you can enter it, however my actual point here is about the Whales, if ur a F2P, your pretty much expected to lose by ALOT of races, probably around 5-20% win rate and atleast there's a crazy meta build that boost your winrate by alot. There's the gacha goodness, but it's very light on the dailies and generally plays very chill.
But it's also a skilled game, because if you don't have a clue what you're doing, your're going to fail (though there's Uma's that are easier).
But the gacha is expensive. As someone who usually only pulls on banners when I know I can get to pity, well... I haven't pulled on a banner yet, except the beginner banner, and I've filled my roster with the 1* and 2*s.

ABSOLUTE PEAK. i was excited to play the global version since it got announced, and i can say, that it's super good..!!
the gameplay is similar to shinymas/gakumas, and im a sucker for this type of games!
story is also good! especially the career one's, my favorite one is with vodka, goldshi and opera o! funny girls, i adore them.
everything else is also good. sound is good, the way how seiyuus did their job is amazing!
graphics are amazing, eye candy if i can use it in this context.
would add that events are fun, would like to see what else we'll have in the future.
